The summer school 2026 will focus on the intersection of global health, violence prevention and peacebuilding. We will learn more on the effects of violence and war on health and engage with the concept of medical peacework. It will take place from September 13 to 19 at Refugio Berlin.

A one-day conference will kick-off the summer school programme on September 12. The conference will discuss the growing number of attacks on health care during violent conflict and on the role of health care professionals before, during and after war, whether directly targeted or as witnesses from a distance. The conference is organised together with medico international.
